Construction of a bridge crossing to the Russkiy Island over the Eastern Bosporus Strait in Vladivostok

The bridge to the Russky Island over the Eastern Bosphorus Strait was built under the Federal Program of Vladivostok development as a center of international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.

The new bridge has linked Vladivostok mainland and island areas and has formed an important part of Primorye Region transportation system.

Bridge construction began in September 2008. In March 2012 the builders of the bridge completed the erection of the pylons. Channel span installation was completed in April 2012. The bridge was opened for the public traffic on August 1, 2012.
